2009 Events and Meetings

Florence is proud of its events. From May to New Years, we have our major events and the Florentine Players have events throughout the year. Read more details on each one. Several events are yearly neighborhood traditions. "Florence Days" is celebrated in May. The holiday season is celebrated with Christmas Tree Lighting in Florence Park by the Florence Historical Foundation, along with the annual Gingerbread display at the Mormon Trail Center from early December until Christmas Eve. Some events are recurring events. Some dates shown are based on past year information. Some details for later in the year events may change. Check with any contacts for confirmation. - Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in Florence

  - Lighting takes place on Sunday at 5:30 P.M.
  - Coffee and Cocoa will be served.
  - No reservation is required.
  - Also the Bank of Florence will have open hours from 3:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M..
    - Come get your picture taken with Santa. Then join us over at the park.
December 11th-12th (Friday-Saturday):
- Florentine Players - 2009 December Murder Mystery - Murder at the Office Christmas Party.
  Wear your best (or worst Christmas outfit) - or not! “Party” is a totally interactive blast - it will just kill you . . or at least someone! Treats and drinks available.
