2005 Events and Meetings

Florence is proud of its events. From May to New Years, we have our major events and the Florentine Players have events throughout the year. Read more details on each one. Several events are yearly neighborhood traditions. "Florence Days" is celebrated in May. The holiday season is celebrated with Christmas Tree Lighting in Florence Park by the Florence Historical Foundation, along with the annual Gingerbread display at the Mormon Trail Center from Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve. December 4th (Sunday): Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in Florence
Location: Mormon Park, 30th and State Street ()
- Lighting takes place on Sunday at 5:30 P.M.
- Coffee and Cocoa will be served.
- No reservation is required.
- Also the Bank of Florence will have open hours from 3:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M.
