Florence Days Parade - 2021

Not planned yet

So far, the annual parade has not been planned for 2021, so the details below may not go as we usually do. With COVID-19 still raging on in 2021, and Nebraska having one of the states with the most infections per capita, we may have to wait for another year.

2021 Parade Theme: (not decided yet for 2021)

2021 Parade Grand Marshal: (not decided yet for 2021)

Florence celebrates its heritage each year with a parade and lots of other activities.  The celebration is organized by the Florence Historical Foundation.  The parade continues a tradition that started with a Florence Stables Horse Parade 62 years ago (1959).  It grew.  Come out and join us in 2021 for the 63rd parade.

For the fourteenth year (since 2008), it will be on the second weekend, the same as Mother's Day weekend.

The 2021 parade will be a very special parade so please send any photos you have.  The path traveled will be from Redick Avenue to Fillmore Street.  The parade will be led by the 2021 Honor Guard, the Boy Scouts Troop 20 (historically the most likely).

The 2021 parade will be organized by Dick Brown of Dick's Place (for the Florence Historical Foundation), which is the barber shop in the old Toll Booth building located at 3010 Willit (next to the Bank of Florence).  The phone number at Dick's Place is 402-453-6688

• Parade entries will tentatively close the Friday before the fourth Saturday of April, which will be April 24, 2021.

You are notified by mail what your number will be in the parade. Please DO NOT CALL FOR YOUR NUMBER. A letter is sent to you explaining where and when to line up in Miller Park so make sure the application you are returning is filled out completely. Please get your entries in early. The earlier your entry is received, the closer to the front of the parade you will be.
