"Not Forgotten"

This section is to honor our past citizens that have contributed significantly to the Future of Florence.

  • Jeff Frolio.

  • James Comly Mitchell

  • Eliza K. Mitchell (wife of James Comly Mitchell)

  • Florence Kilborn (granddaughter of Eliza Mitchell)

  • James Monroe Parker (Bank of Florence's first manager)

  • We need a list of significant and important past citizens of Florence.  In addition, we need your comments and thoughts, stories, and pictures to add.  If you have information not shown on any already listed, we cherish your input.  Currently, we are seeking lots of information on these citizens:
    • Dick Collins (promoter of Florence, responsible for getting many historic markers in place, and has Dick Collins Road named after him)
    • Maude Keirle (daughter of Charles Keirle)
    • Mrs. Parker (wife of Mr. James Monroe Parker, the Bank of Florence's first proprietor)
